Description
BKG Enterprises is seeking a Medicaid Data Analyst is responsible for translating Medicaid-related business needs into detailed system requirements. This role involves the analysis of Medicaid business needs to determine optimal solutions and the specification of requirements to meet those needs. The Medicaid Data Analyst collaborates with programming staff to ensure that requirements are incorporated into system design and testing and acts as a liaison to address questions or issues from software users.
Work Environment
- The Medicaid Data Analyst position will require 2 days a week on-site and remote working
- Hours: M-F 8a-5p
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze Medicaid business reporting needs to determine the most effective means of meeting those needs.
- Work with programming staff to ensure requirements are incorporated into system design and testing.
- Act as a liaison with software users to address questions and issues.
- Maintain knowledge of systems capabilities and Medicaid business operations strongly preferred.
- Completes Medicaid regulatory reporting, as needed
- Use geo-access software to identify gaps in provider/member access.
- Responsible for provider directory auditing related to Medicaid services.
- Work with the team and demonstrate strong collaboration skills.
- Solve complex Medicaid data issues effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and a minimum of 3 years of related business analysis experience, specifically in Medicaid, or any combination of education and experience which provides an equivalent background.
- Strong knowledge of systems capabilities and Medicaid business operations is highly preferred.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and analytical skills.
- Experience in Medicaid network regulatory reporting and use of geo-access software is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets.
- Ability to solve complex Medicaid data issues and conduct provider directory auditing.
