BKG Enterprises, Inc. Story

BKG Enterprises, Inc. (BKG) is more than just a company; it’s a movement. Founded by Laketa Portee Gardner, BKG is the embodiment of her experiences, challenges, and visions. Her journey began with her father’s company, Professional Management Enterprises (PME), where she gained firsthand experience in recruiting and understanding the staffing industry. This early exposure ignited her passion for entrepreneurship, equitable corporate culture, and bridging the gap between employers and employees.

As a certified Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) with the State of Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA), BKG Enterprises stands as a testament to Laketa and the leadership team’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

BKG is dedicated to illuminating pathways for healthcare professionals to realize their full potential. We specialize in healthcare-focused staffing, innovative solutions, and project-based work across various healthcare sectors, including healthcare insurance, healthcare and hospital systems, federal and government healthcare organizations, life sciences, and pharma.

One of our standout initiatives is transitioning nurses from bedside roles to remote telehealth positions. This innovative approach provides relief to healthcare professionals experiencing burnout and offers comfort to patients in our increasingly hybrid world.

Our commitment to community welfare extends beyond staffing. We develop and manage ‘Food is Medicine’ programs, providing nutritious food boxes to pregnant and postpartum women and recently discharged hospital patients.

At BKG, we pride ourselves on our commitment to transparency, integrity, and growth. We ensure promotions and appraisals come with the necessary tools, support, and fair compensation. This ethos, combined with our leadership team’s business acumen and passion for people-driven businesses, sets BKG apart in the industry.

BKG is about empowerment. We strive to ensure that no mother must choose between feeding herself or her child, and that every professional, regardless of gender or background, gets a fair shot at their dream career. Through BKG, we send a powerful message: growth is possible, failures are steppingstones, and self-belief is paramount.

BKG is not just a company; it’s a movement, and we’re just getting started.
